GDPR Flash News: First fine issued by the Greek Data Protection Authority

This Flash Report comments on the decision of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority issued in July 2019 imposing a fine amounting to 150.000 euros for infringements of the GDPR and more specifically for selection and application of inappropriate legal basis and violation of the principle of accountability by a company towards its employees. The Hellenic Data Protection Authority acted in response to a complaint and conducted an ex officio investigation to this respect.
